Capstans

Capstans enable a simple, reliable and safe mooring operation. They are particularly suitable if there is no enough available space on the deck for building-in capstans. They can be either electrically or hydraulically driven. A standard configuration includes a warping end fitted to the deck and a driving electric motor and a reduction gear located under the deck.

The variant with a motor located in the warping end (PUA) is also available. This variant is suitable if there is no enough space for a motor and a reduction gear under the deck.
